Matt Sherman

Matt Sherman currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at TA Sports Ventures and is an active investor and trusted advisor within the global sports ecosystem.

Matt has 15+ years of experience within management consulting, corporate development, venture capital, and investment banking predominately focused within the financial services and sports/entertainment industry. He recently served as the Senior Director of Growth Strategy at the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), where he was responsible for creating and protecting value, driving innovative strategic initiatives, venture strategy, conducting business development, and serving as an advisor to NBA players on economic and business growth opportunities.

Prior to the NBPA, Matt spent over 10 years at Deloitte providing financial and strategic advisory to the firm’s largest clients and helping them navigate and execute complex global transactions.

Additionally, while at Deloitte, Matt served as Chief of Staff focusing on business development efforts and creating cohesive go-to market strategies across the primary functions of the firm.
